   3D 프린팅 시장이 커지면서 저작권에 대한 얘기도 심심치 않게 나오고 있습니다.(참조) 사실 저작권은 속성상 인터넷으로 유통되는 결과물이면 어느 분야에서나 문제가 될 소지가 많은 사항입니다.

   3D 프린팅 분야에도 저작권을 보호하기 위한 'Disarming Corruptor'란 툴이 나왔습니다. stl 파일을 암호화시키고 7자리의 특정 키를 만들어 이 키값이 맞지 않으면 stl 파일을 파괴해버린다고 하는군요.(쩝..)

암호화/복호화 방법

Encoding:

1. Select an STL file by pressing 'open'. You may have to wait a while on big files.

2. Press and hold screen to rotate, use mouse wheel or track pad to zoom in and out.

3. The arrow keys can be used to adjust center.

4. Use the sliders to choose 7 key values. The 7th value 's' corresponds to the algorithm's strength, this provides not just a visible/invisible encryption, but also the chance to create partially recognisable forms.

5. Press 'corrupt'.

6. If you are happy with the object press 'save', otherwise press 'repair' and try again with new values.

7. The new distorted file will be saved in the same folder as the input file.

8. A png is saved to help you remember the key. Delete this file if necessary and store your key elsewhere.

pro tips: 

9. You can double-encrypt a file by corrupting twice with different parameters. To decode you would need to repair the file twice in the reverse order of the corruptions.

10. Tag with 'DC' on Thingiverse so that DC early adopters can find each other. 

Decoding:

1. Open corrupted file.

2. Enter the key values that you have been entrusted with.

3. Press 'repair'.

4. Press 'save', the file will be in the same folder as the corrupted file.
